I tryed to synthesize my design that i made with ISE 9.2 in ISE 11.2 and I got this ERROR:

 

INTERNAL_ERROR:Xst:cmain.c:3446:1.47.6.1 -  To resolve this error, please consult the Answers Database and other online resources at http://support.xilinx.com

Hi Oliverh:

 

Try cleaning up your project files:

 

Project ->  Cleanup Project Files...

 

That cleared up this error message for me.

I believe that the error message included some ways of resolving the error. Open a webcase.

Agreed. Unless the error already has an existing answer record, it will likely take access to the XST source code (and possibly also your design) to determine the cause. The webcase is the correct method for making sure this gets to the right people. The rest of us really have no idea what is the problem here based on the error message alone. FATAL_ERRORs and INTERNAL_ERRORs would ideally never occur, but indicate some unexpected condition was encountered during processing. Given the complexity of some of these algorithms and the diversity of the input designs, unfortunately these conditions are sometimes seen.
