I'm trying to build a computer interface for my counter design. What I'm doing is using attached modules get the received byte and process corresponding command. These commands are start, stop using OPERATION signal, reset and counting period. The problem is when I transmit start/stop everything is fine. But when I wish to keep any one of these three type of signal others doesn't keep their selves. So when I wish to count for a specific period and transmit the related byte through a python gui I see it sets the correct value (I've connected some LEDs). But then when hit start period changes. Also when I reset then it process stop as well. The test bench looks things are as I expect and explained here but reality is completely different. I can't count for a period I wanted.
Could anyone give me any idea if there is any problem with this two module or not ? Then I can consantrate on other parts.
p.s I'm using a uart to receive incoming bytes. If I only start stop and insert a constant period everything is fine. But when I wish to change a value and keep the others I couldn't achieve this.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks in advance...

Since you're having problems with the module, I would say that there is a problem with the module. Since you haven't provided any code, I can't be more specific than that.
