vivado source window view for the code

Jump to solution

I am generating 128 instances of a module through generate statement(code is given down).  My question is, in vivado 2013.3 source window, will i see 128 instances of bf_s1.v or just one?

input           [0:255] bit_rev_data,

wire [2:0] s1_res1_arr[0:255];

wire [2:0] s1_res2_arr[0:255];

genvar i;
generate

for (i=0; i<=255; i=i+2)
begin
bf_s1 butterfly_stage_1
(
.p (bit_rev_data[i]),
.q (bit_rev_data[i+1]),
.p_plus_alpha_q (s1_res1_arr[i]),
.p_minus_alpha_q (s1_res2_arr[i+1])
);

Hi,

No. you will see one file in sources window.

But you will find 128 instances after synthesis. You can check in schemactic and in report_utilization report.

Thanks,

Vinay
