IOBUF failed timing from IOBUF:T to IOBUF:O?

Jump to solution

Should I set this path as TIG?

Thanks,

You can set the path as TIG only if you really know that the T signal will not toggle just before you need the output data to be valid.  On the other hand, from the snip of path you posted it appears that you could make this delay time much shorter by forcing the register for the T signal into the IOBs.  In your path, you have a single FDRE driving 10 loads, possibly other bits of the same tristate bus?  When forced into the IOB, this register should get replicated for each IOB.

Thanks a lot for detailed answer.

I've resolved this by adding dedicated register to T.

Never expected need to do this before. Learnt from your sharing.
