Aurora IP Starting GT Quad Help

Jump to solution

I am using the XQZU21dr-ffrd1156-1-i

The GTY reference clocks are on pins H28 and H29. Bank 131.

The Aurora IP has a box titled: Starting GT Quad with the selections

of: Quad X0Y1, X0Y2, X0Y3, and X0Y4.

So, which one is for the pins H28 and H29?

Also, there is a box titled: Starting GT Lane. Possible values depends

on the Quad selected above.

We are using a single lane. The TX is on pins C26, C27.

RX is on pins B33, B34.

What starting lane are these pins for?

The transceiver numbering is always confusing (to me at least) because of the 3 different coordinate systems (package ball, quad #, and XY site location)

I'd start here:

https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/user_guides/ug1075-zynq-ultrascale-pkg-pinout.pdf

page 136 (package view)
package pin -> quad #
looks like you are on quad 131 (TX & RX) w a reference clock from quad 129

then
page 66-67 for die view
looks like quad 131 is X0Y16..X0Y19

You can likely do this in the Device & Package View in Vivado as well.

Cheers,

bt
