No-Connect Pins of XCKU035

Jump to solution

Hi,

In UltraScale Architecture Migration Table, it is stated that KU035 FPGA can be migrated to KU095. However, some pins of KU035 are shown as no-connect pins in the ASCII package file of KU035, while those no-connect pins are GTY and extra GTH lanes in KU095 FPGA. In the UG576 document, it is declared that some of those GTY and GTH pins of KU095 are should be connected to GND even if it is not used in the design. By considering to migrate from KU035 to KU090, if no-connect pins of KU035 are connected to GND, does it cause a problem? In other words, do no-connect pins of KU035 have any bonding in its package so that if they are connected to GND it causes a problem?

Best regards,

Thanks for the help.

@yeyilmaz No Connect pins have no connection to the die in the package. Since you plan to migrate to KU095 from KU035, make sure that the Banks/GT's you plan to use in KU095 are connected accordingly on your board while rest you can connect to GND.

Connect No-connect pins to GND won't cause any issues
