Pin assignment xczu9eg-ffvb1156-2-i and xczu9eg-ffvb1156-2-e of the Xilinx ZCU102 Evaluation Board

Jump to solution

Dear Community Forum,

as a scientific researcher I am working on a project founded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology. For our research project we bought the EthernetFMC card for a ZCU102 MPSoC Evaluation Board (https://opsero.com/product/ethernet-fmc/).
However, we have several issues in getting the card running on our board.

We found out that the reference designs are made for the "xczu9eg-ffvb1156-2-i"-FPGA, but our board is equipped with the "xczu9eg-ffvb1156-2-e"-FPGA.
Xilinx announced that the "xczu9eg-ffvb1156-2-i" will be removed in Vivado 2017.4: https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/70132.html

To make a long story short, i wanted to know if there are differences in the pin assignments. I'm referring to this link: https://github.com/fpgadeveloper/ethernet-fmc-axi-eth
The xdc-file with the name "zcu102-hpc0.xdc" in the folder "../Vivado/src/constraints" shows several properties. So are there any differences between these two boards?

Best regards,

Franz

There are no differences in pinout.   The only difference between the part numbers is the temperature rating.   "e" is extended temp range (0C to 100C), and "i" is Industrial temp range (-40C to 100C).
