Xilinx Power Estimator for Ultrascale+ RFSoc

Jump to solution

Dear All,

I am designing custom Ultrascale+ RFSoc board and need Xilinx Power Estimator suppport. So far version 2020 is not supporting RFSoC chips at all. It has menu that allow to choose RFSoC but it is still choosing an Ultrascale+ MPSoC instead of RFSoC. As a result the simulation is not correct for RFSoC anymore. Is there any way to import power estimator report from Vivado to apply it to XPE excel sheet based calculator or post how to do it correct for RFSoC chips?

Hi @karinaprzygoda123

This issue seems to be related to regional settings.

I opened https://www.xilinx.com/member/forms/download/power-estimator-license.html?cid=e7c2f36d-d169-4d44-b2a6-b52cc826fc4d&filename=ultrascale_plus_xpe_2020_1.zip on my PC and selected  RFSOC, I can see all RFSOC parts correctly.

Check https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/69579.html and make changes in PC setting accordingly and let us know results.

Regards,
Bhushan

Yes, I have found this solution and now it is working fine as well for me. Could You look to my next post concerning BGA socket for RFSOC 1156 footprint and crosscheck if Xilinx can provide footprints or step models?
