About CIC IP core 3.0V Config...!

Hi,

 

Here I'm trying to use the CIC IP Core as the Low Pass Filter, And here as per the variables defined in the data sheet I had given their values in the IP core and verified the Output(Result provided below).

 

 Filter type:-Decimator

Fixed/Initial rate--->4

Sample Period---->1

No. of stages------>3

Differential deley-->1

Channels----------->1

X-treme DSP slices-->TRUE

Result:- The cut-off freq. was observed at approx. 20MHz and here the OUTPUT FREQ. RESPONSE WAS PERFECT(SineWave) UPTO 10MHz only.

But as per the datasheet info the max freq. is 526MHz (please see the Image provided).

 

Can anyone please provide info to procede further to increase the Max. Frequency and to achive clear cutoff frequency value....?

 

What is meant by "LUT-FF Pairs",...?

Hi,

 

Max frequency specified in Datasheet is based on IP characterization results.

You may go beyond it based on your deisgn, check fmax of your timing report, use pipe lining etc

Howevver IP opeation is not guaranteed beyond the f-max

I guess LUT-FF Pairs means FFs present in CLBs

Fmax is the clock frequency of the core, not the frequency response.

Clock Frequency-- 245.76Mhz only

BOARD TYPE-KINTEX-7-"XC7K325T-2FFG900C".
