Axis_stream with TDEST

Hi i am using MIPI Rx IP with axis_stream protocol and also with virtual channel enable
let’s assume four camera sending stream line by line in synchronous(in sequence) format over mipi-csi format

So when we enable virtual channel in MIPI Rx IP did I get following signal ?

or that start of frame (SOF) will also come with first TDEST as we will know  which camera frame starting??

that mins 4 SOF pules with, each with first line in a frame  as we have four camera .

thanks in advance

Hello nishant@magna

I overlooked this post.

  1. Start of Frame is sent from TX as a short synchronization packet.

  2. The first byte of HS packet in MIPI CSI-2 is the Data Identifier byte that contains VC and Data Type information. See below:

  3. So, if your TX is sending Start of Frame Packet for each VC (which most sensors will do).
MIPI CSI-2 RX will assert SoF for each VC in the first line.

  4. But if your TX is only sending one Start of Frame short packet,  MIPI CSI-2 RX will only output SoF once.

Hope this helps.
