Creating sysgen directory during bitstream compilation

Jump to solution

When I try to generate the bitstream file from SystemGenerator, I receive the following message:

Unable to create sysgen directory /Desktop/timing_analysis/sysgen

My SystemGenerator model is located on the 'Desktop' in a directory named 'timing_analysis'. The model runs and simulates without any errors as expected. If anyone could shed some light on this, it would be appreciated. Thank you.

Does the full path to your Desktop have any spaces in?  That can cause hassle.  Can you try moving the project to a "less troublesome" root path?

Hi,

do you already have some file called sysgen at that position?

In that case no identical named directory can be created. (Just saw a similar case a week ago)

Another thing:

What's the full path string? Does it contain any spaces? Xilinx tools do not like spaces in path names. ;-)

Have a nice synthesis

which OS are you using?

With Windows 7 you might simple run in permission problems, when the App tries to create the folder

Thank you. I moved the directory to the 'c' drive and it worked fine.
