Display issue on ZCU104

Hi Team,

Display is not coming up when I am trying to port "petalinux-user-image-zcu104-zynqmp-sd-20190802.img.gz"  image on to zcu104 platform.

I have checked the previous post  and I tried same modetest and I also faced same issue.

Note: In my case I have connected DP to HDMI converter to connect to display, because we don't have DP port display.

Here my modetest command console log.

Hi @RajuKoppada

Which type of adaptor are you using ? Active adaptor or passive adaptor ?

According to your log, it seems that you use a passive adaptor and you are facing EDID issue.

You can use HDMI monitor, If it can read EDID from monitor via proper adaptor.

Would you consider it ?

Hi @watari  Firstly Thanks for your reply,

I am sorry, I don't know about adaptors types and I am using following DP to HDMI Adaptor.

https://www.indiamart.com/proddetail/scm-cable-display-port-dp-male-to-hdmi-female-adapter-15168619230.html

So in this case do I need to use active adaptor? If you have any recommendation please point me .

Thanks and Regards,

Raju

Hi @RajuKoppada

I can't confirm whether your adaptor is active adaptor or not.

Also, I guess that adaptor issue is one of root case.

> So in this case do I need to use active adaptor?

At least, you must change your device from this adaptor to an other active adaptor or from HDMI monitor to DP monitor.

The best way is to change monitor from HDMI monitor to DP monitor.

Here is easy way to find active adaptor, if you accept resolution limitation. (Maximum resolution is FHD(1920x1080@60Hz) or UXGA(1600x1200@60Hz))

- Has two type output. (HDMI and VGA (analog RGB))

Would you find proper adaptor with this information ?

Best regards,
