HDMI 2.0 on Artix-7 series for 4K60Hz video input.

Jump to solution

We are wanting to try and migrate our design to an Artix-7 part for a lower cost implementation.  According to the PG236 (for 3.1) pg 54 Artix will only support HDMI 1.4 using the Xilinx HDMI RX Subsystem IP.  We need to support 4K 60Hz input.  I assume the GTPs are not fast enough to support the HDMI 2.0 resolutions like the GTXs can. Is there any way to use an Artix-7 device and support 4K 60Hz?  Are there VbyOne IPs that will support 4K60Hz in an Artix-7 device?

Hi Kerry,

take a look at this blog post.

It looks like the solution for TED is still listed as coming soon for Artix-7. Please inquire with TED for more information on this solution.

Also, here is a link to our IP search page which will list IP from our partners. A quick search shows that Omnitek has a V-by-One IP as well but only a TX for a Zynq platform.

Regards,

Sam
