Question on the HDMI, YUV420.

Jump to solution

Dear, expert..

I'm using the HDMI Tx for YUV420 at 60Hz

Environment is like a below.

1. 4K Resolution.

2. pixel per clock : 4

3. Video Interface : Axi4-Stream.

When we're testing the YUV420 at 60Hz, we think that the pixel Clock is 594Mhz. Thus, the image was shaking.

Wehn we tried the YUV420 at 30Hz, the pixel clock is 297Mhz, Thus, the image is good.

My question is that YUV420 is ruing at 60Hz?? the datasheet indicate that running of the YUV420 at 60Hz is OK.

Could you give me the advise how to run YUV 420 at 60Hz??

SDK Setting

Color Format : XVIDC_CSF_YCRCB_420;

Frame Rate : XVIDC_FR_60HZ;

VmId : XVIDC_VM_3840x2160_60_P;

Thanks,

Sun

Hi @sunkim,

Did you try with the example desing integrated on vivado 2017.3? It targeting several Xilinx evaluation boards (ZC706/KC705/KCU105...)? It is a good start to understand the system and have a comparison point.

Regards,

Florent

HI @sunkim,

In 2017.3 there is an example design for HDMI (HW + SW application). This is the Xilinx reference design.
