Wrong PLL value when reading 0X9E register in ADV7511 - ac701 board

Jump to solution

Hi, I am reading the PLL register status because this post recommends that when you have no video output, so I am reading the 0x9E register and get 10010 but the datasheet says that bits [3:0] are fixed to 0, did you have the same issue when reading that register or some kind of clocking issue hard to detect?

HI @jg_spitfire

I guess when it is fixed you should just ignore the digits. It might be for (Analog Devices) ADI to know the details of a specific version of the chip. I would just ignore it.

Or ask detail directly ADI about why the datasheet is not matching what you see with the device
