vga controller

hi community, i'm a bigenner in the world of fpga. so i used vivado to design my architecture but unfortubately i'm needing to use a vga controller. so my question is there any IP that play the role of a vga controller in vivado?

Hi @zineb,

 

You can do a VGA controller using 2 Xilinx IPs:

-> AXI4S to Video Out and Video Timing controller

 

To generate the video stream you can start with the Test Pattern Generator.

 

Also, if you want to start slowly, you might want to check this tutorial.

@zineb,

Here's an example VGA controller I've used in the past.  The project also contains a Verilator based simulator, that will display on your computer monitor even before you place your project onto the FPGA to work with it.

@dgisselq i was talking about finding an IP in the Vivado tool that can be a vga controller!!

Xilinx Doesn't have any IP for VGA controller.

You can find list of Video IPs in the IP catalog
