DisplayPort TX DPCD read/write

Jump to solution

I am wondering what code I would use in a DisplayPort TX project to initiate a stand alone DPCD read and/or write?   I found some code to create a DPCD array where an element is accessed where the array index is the DPCD register address, but since I have a DP Aux analyzer in my DisplayPort Path I can see that it did not actively do a DPCD read, so it must have returned a buffered value.

Can somebody tell me how to initiate a DPCD read and write that I can verify is working using a DP Aux analyzer?

I am using Vivado 2016.4 and using the KC705 reference design with the Inrevium DP FMC card which has the Rx and Tx working, I just need to add DPCD read/write to help me debug some other issues I am dealing with on another project.

Thanks.

Tim

Hi @tim_severance,

DPCD read and write is the same as AUX read and write. In the xapp1271, there is an option for aux read in the Tx-only menu. You can strart with this:
