HDMI RX - audio inforframe

Jump to solution

Hi expert,

I got the audio sample size and sample rate from audio inforframe, but both the results were  "Refer to Stream Header".

Is it possible to get these information from stream header?

Regards,

Sitting

@sitting In current version XV_HdmiRxSs_GetAuxiliary is the way to get infoframe content through driver.

We plan to provide more Audio Infoframe API option in the next release. Other than CT field, is there any other fields you are concerned about? I will feedback this to the relevant team.

Hi @sitting,

Could you give more information about your design?

Which vivado version are you using? How are you reading the inforframe (do you have some C code to show?)?

How did you get the result "Refer to Stream Header"?

Regards,

Florent

Hi @florentw,

My vivado version is 2017.3. I print the message from RxAuxCallback function.

aux_call.PNG

Besides, I find some information from CEA-861-F specification. It also show "Refer to the stream header"

CEA.PNG

It seems those information could be found out from audio stream header.

XV_HDMIRX_AUD_ID_OFFSET is for Audio identification register.

Hi @sitting,

Check the HDMI driver:

C:\Xilinx\SDK\2017.x\data\embeddedsw\XilinxProcessorIPLib\drivers\v_hdmirx_v1_4

The HDMI Core parses the AUX packets and all the Audio Packets are directed to the AXI4-Stream Audio interface.

In cases where the identification is part of the Audio Stream, then that means the data would be presented on the AXI4-Stream Audio Interface rather than through a software API.

@sitting

XV_HdmiRxSs_GetAuxiliary function will give you access to the AUX packet contents.  Once you have the AUX packet you can parse through it to find the information you need.

Hi @xud,

From the HDMI specification, some audio information dosen't parse to AUX information.

Therefore, I still try to log it from different GPU.
