HI @ktoivane

This is probably because your path is too long under windows. Please generate the project at the root directory of a drive.

This was already mentioned on the forums:

Hello @ktoivane

We do not provide a bitstream/elf file in the Xilinx homepage.  PG300(page.63-84) describes how to create an example design, so please create a pass-through design referring to it.   You can see that KCU105 supports a pass-through design in the Table 35.

Hi kshimizu,

Does the KCU105 DisplayPort 1.4 Pass-Through Example require a temporary license request for DP1.4 Tx and DP 1.4 Rx ? The IP Catalog implies that a temporary license is needed but when I run TCL command "report_ip_status" I observe that it already has Hardware Evaluation license:

HI @ktoivane

Do you have any update on this? Were you able to generate the example design?

Thanks and Regards

Hi Florent,

1. After changing the Vivado Win10 project root directory to C:/TMP to reduce filename lengths, I was able to complete synth/implementation.

2. We were not able to generate bitstreams on Vivado Win10 (standalone node license). Why does the IP Report state that DP1.4 Tx and DP1.4 Rx have Hardware_Evaluation llicences but it seems they are actually only Design_Linking licences ? Refer to attached snapshots below.

3. We were able to generate bitstreams after using Linux Vivado project using our main company licence server as it appears that someone in another company site has already acquired DP1.4 Tx and DP1.4 Rx licences.

The sample project is working/running in lab.

Hi Florent,

I was able to generate the bitstream by adding adding license server that owns DP1.4 Tx IP and DP1.4 Rx IP licenses. So the problem seems to be that the IP Report states that DP1.4 Tx and DP1.4 Rx have Hardware_Evaluation llicences but it seems they are actually only Design_Linking licences.

HI @ktoivane

My recommendation is to not use the default folder for the licenses location but use a different folder (I use C:/Licenses) and point to it into Vivado license manager.

It might prevent this issue
