SMPTE UHD-SDI v1.0 IP and Quad Link 3G SDI

Jump to solution

Hi,

Can SMPTE UHD-SDI v1.0 IP receive Quad Link 3G SDI input to combine into 1 video stream?

If not, can I treat each Quad Link 3G SDI as independent and extract the video from it, and combine into 1 video outside of IP core?  Do I need a frame buffer for combining?

Hi wtneo@leica,

I do not think the UHD-SDI IP can combine streams. Thus you need to do it outside the core.

Yes a frame buffer might be an idea. It will really depends how the streams are (how the frame is distributed between the streams).
