Suggestion for Full HD video streaming using FPGA board?

Hi,

I am trying to process 1080p video from an HD camera at 30fps on LVDS. Data rate per second would be around 1.8Gbps and I would like to split the data into 5 channels which would be sent to a DAC(Digital to analog converter). Please suggest me the desired clock required and an appropriate FPGA board which supports this.

Appreciate your time and concern.

Best,

Shashi

Re: Suggestion for Full HD video streaming using FPGA board?

Look at:

reVision and the xcu102

https://www.xilinx.com/products/design-tools/embedded-vision-zone.html

https://www.xilinx.com/products/boards-and-kits/ek-u1-zcu102-g.html

It supports HDMI in & out, MIPI in, USB in.  Non-standard video is up to you to interface, but with the board's capabilities, it should be no issue to develop.

Re: Suggestion for Full HD video streaming using FPGA board?

Thank you for your valuable suggestion Austin.

I have a Zynq 7000 handy. would it be possible to do such operation using it instead of a Zynq Ultrascale.

I assume Ultrascale means a much lower nm technology or is there any significant difference between Zynq 7000 and Zynq Ultrascale?

Looking forward for your valuable inputs.

Thank you.

Hi shashisvarna@gmail.com,

I don't think you need to use revision for this if you know a bit of RTL.

Zynq should be fine for the application if you want to do 1.8Gbps/5. The selectIO should support it.

You could even consider a spartan-7 for this type of application.

For the correct board, you might want to talk with an authorized distributor. They will point you
