camera link to DVI conversion

Jump to solution

Hiiiiiii,

 The data conversion from camera link to DVI,

how can i use the HSYNC, VSYNC, BLANK in DVI interface from LVAL,DVAL,FVAL in camera link interafce. is both are same...?

else, any other logic is required to get sync signals of DVI from camaera link...?

Re: camera link to DVI conversion

Hiiiii @watari and @florentw ,

Sorry for the delay, I was mapped The camera link signals with DVI as follows,

HSYNC <= Line Valid

VSYNC <= Frame Valid

DE         <= Data valid

but due to the timing diffrence between the camera interface and DVI, I took the valid data and stored with the DVAL signal from camera link, an dispalyed the same data into DVI by DE signal as a read.

now whatever data captured in camera is displayed by DVI interface.

Thanks for your support...!

Hi murali@1996

Here are the meaning of each signals.

HSYNC : Horizontal synchronous signal

VSYNC : Vertical synchronous ginal

BLANK : Blanking singnal

LVAL : Line valid

DVAL : Data valid

FVAL : Frame valid

As you know, you need other logic to generate suitable signal for DVI from camera link.

Best regards,

Hi murali@1996

What do you mean ? Do you think that it needs an inverter ?

If yes, it's correct.

If no, the meaning of my previous mentioned is that it is different between each pair signals.

Would you consider it ?

Hi murali@1996,

Do you have any updates on this? Was @watari's reply enough for you?
