HWICAP on Virtex5 (xc5vlx110t)

Hi, All:

    I have a problem to initialize hwicap on my FPGA.  I believe configPointer does not equal to NULL and BaseAddress is the same as the setting in XPS. Does any one have ideas about why XHwIcap_CfgInitialize() fails?

Here is a piece of my code. It comes from the reference design.

    configPointer = XHwIcap_LookupConfig(XPAR_XPS_HWICAP_0_DEVICE_ID);

     if (configPointer == NULL)

     {

        xil_printf("HWICAP LookupConfig fails\n");

     }

     status = XHwIcap_CfgInitialize(&HwIcap, configPointer, configPointer->BaseAddress)
     if (status != XST_SUCCESS)

     {

        xil_printf("HWICAP Initialization fails\n");

     }

Best, Ting-Shuo

Re: HWICAP on Virtex5 (xc5vlx110t)

The reason is :

I had a similar problem while using xc6vcx130t

The FGPA device ID code was not be in  library provided by the xilinx.

you have to update it manually  for your FPGA.

Thanks
