How to generate module based partial reconfiguration

HI,

I need to implement module based partial reconfiguration. so, i read few documents regarding that.

how i can create a bus macro(.nmc file from some documents) for implementing module based PR.

i am using virtex-4SX  device.

where do i get that .nmc.

what r the steps to connect static logic and  Reconfigurable logic with BusMacro.

Thanks in advance

srikanth

I recommend you to use EAPR flow, the traditional modular based flow is not perfect.

The reference document is "UG208 Early Access Partial Reconfiguration User Guide"

The bus macros can be downloaded at the PR Lounge here: http://www.xilinx.com/support/prealounge/protected/software/PR_bus_macros_080624.zip

Typically you place the bus macro so that one half of it is within the Partially Reconfigurable Region (PRR) and half is outside the region.  This can be done in planAhead or through the UCF file constraints.
