power down modes

Hi all,

 

i am designing the SATA phy with virtex6 GTX transceiver.

SATA supports partial and slumber power down modes.

How can i support these modes using RXPOWERDOWN and TXPOWERDOWN ports in GTX transceiver.

 

I found nothing in UG366 documnet.

 

kindly help me.

Have you checked "Power Down" section in page 120. Here are some details that could relate your query.

RXPOWERDOWN[1:0]
Powers down the RX lane according to the PCIe® protocol
encoding.
00: P0 (normal operation)
01: P0s (low recovery time power down)
10: P1 (longer recovery time)
11: P2 (lowest power state)

TXPOWERDOWN[1:0]
Powers down the TX lane according to the PCIe protocol
encoding.
00: P0 (normal operation)
01: P0s (low recovery time power down)
10: P1 (longer recovery time; Receiver Detection still on)
11: P2 (lowest power state)
