serial line TXN_OUT is not 'z' during power down for GTX virtex6

Hi,

I am using Virtex6 GTX Virtex6 for SATA application. I used RXPOWERDOWN = 2'h11 and TXPOWERDOWN == 2'h11 to power down PHY, Also used TXDETECTRX=0 and TXELECIDLE=1in conjunction with POWERDOWN signals.(As per page 122 of ug366)

But I dont see the serail line TX/TXN being z during power down, Instead I see TX=1.

Why isn't the serial line becoming z ?

Any hint would help.

Thanks,

HiZ may not be the the status of TXP/TXN lines when TXPOWERDOWN is asserted since MGTAVTT would still be present and connected to the driver circuit. You would see the link to be idle state with no transitions. So no clocks are toggling inside the GT.
