Emulation-HW failed for KCU1500 board

Jump to solution

Hello,

I'm trying to use the KCU1500 board, the board has been installed in my computer successfully, and I'm running the very simple example of vadd following UG1021, I had run Emulation-SW successfully, but when I ran Emulation-HW, I met this problem:

Can anybody give me some suggestion? Thank you very much!

The following error is seen from the log.

/usr/bin/ld: xsim.dir/emu_wrapper_behav/obj/xsim_6.lnx64.o: relocation R_X86_64_32 against `.rodata.str1.1' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC
/usr/bin/ld: final link failed: Nonrepresentable section on output
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

What OS is the tool running on?

I reinstalled the OS and it works! Thanks a lot!

I still have one more question, in ug1238, it requires about 30 packages (such as: ocl-icd-libopencl1, opencl-headers, ... etc.) installed by 'apt-get install' command, so do I have to install these packages one by one? Or it will be installed automatically when I install the OS? Thanks!

I followed the steps in the SDAccel User Guide to perform the installation for the KCU1500 Card (Appendix J ->Installing the KCU1500 Card) in centOS7.4. But there is a problem in step1: "sudo: xbinst: can't find the command". Can you tell me how to solve this problem? Thank you very much.
