SDAccel 2018.3 on Ubuntu suddently became slow

Jump to solution

Hi,

it's been a week or so, SDAccel 2018.3 became slow and irresponsive.

I'm on the recommended Ubuntu with recommended libraries, no fancy stuff installed.

I see that when I compile a program, one CPU stays at 100% forever.

Any idea about how to debug that ?

It seems that deleting the "RemoteSystemsTempFiles" folder inside the workspace solved the issue.

I'm finally not sure that it was the right fix, as the problem worsened after a while.

I removed the explorer and assistant panel at the left of the screen, and it seems that the problem is now gone.

I've come to the conclution that it's the "assistant" view which causes all the trouble.

Closing it smoothes everything.
