Setting PLATFORM_REPO_PATHS in demo makefile (Compression Library)

Jump to solution

After setting-up Vitis, Vivado and XRT locations, i tried running the makefile for the zlib compression library demo. However, whenever I run the makefile, an error pops-up:

No platform matched pattern 'xilinx_u200_xdma_201830_2'.
Available platforms are:
To add more platform directories, set the PLATFORM_REPO_PATHS variable.
make: *** [check_platform] Error 1

I've then installed the deployment shell for the alveo u200 but the same error still occurs. Under opt/xilinx/dsa, "xilinx_u200_xdma_201830_2" appears. Am I missing something? Where should I link the PLATFORM_REPO_PATHS variable? This is my first time attempting to run a demo from the Vitis Library. I just want to test the efficiency of the library. Thanks a lot.

Download the "Development Target Platform" , and install them in your system, you should be able to see the XSA for Alveo U200/U250 under /opt/xilinx/..

Hi @rpa ,

PLATFORM_REPO_PATHS variable is used to specify the paths in which the platform files will be searched for.

setenv PLATFORM_REPO_PATHS <specify path of platform file>

Regards,
Vishnu
