Auto Connect to Board

Jump to solution

Hi,

I'm trying to "Auto Connect" my KC705 board with Vivado 2018.2 Hardware Manager (picture below) in a Linux system running CentOS version 7.6.1810, but the board can't be found. In a Windows 10 machine, with the same board and same configurations it works. If I try to "Open New Target..." it also can't find any hardware - in the Windows 10 machine it does.

Is this a problem with my CentOS version or with Vivado?

Thank you.

Hi @vgl94 ,

I just verified the document Vivado Design Suite 2018.3 Release Notes - UG973 and we only officially support up to CentOS 7.5, so it could be that the Application or the drivers do not work well in the version you have.

I wonder if the cable drivers have been correctly installed. Could you also please check the following AR and verify if you have all the drivers?

 https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/66440.html

If it all looks OK, i'd say that the issue might be to the CentoOS version.

Thanks,

Thank you,

I didn't realise I had to do that.
