Chipscope cpj file format

Hello,

Is there any documents describing the text format of cpj file?

I'm using ILA core generated by coregen and connect the nets I want to debug manually in HDL.

debug_data(0) <= signal_a;

debug_data(1) <= signal_b;

...

debug_data(127) <= signal_cde;

I want to write some tcl script parsing these assignments and replaces the DataPort[xx] in Chipscope cpj file with my signal name.

If you know the cpj format or this has been done please point me to it ...I'm kind of lost looking at the txt text ... :-s

Thank you!

Jeff

Re: Chipscope cpj file format

Hi,

Editing the cpj files by making different assignment will not work for changing the signals to observe in runtime.

Please note that when you instantiate and ILA core and do these assignments, this information has to be implemented and the bit file containts the connections for the signal to be debugged. Hence just changin the .cpj will not help.

Thanks,
Anirudh
