Chipscope pro startup trigger mode support

Jump to solution

Hi,

i'm trying to use Chipscope pro 13.2 to run my project under Virtex-5 in startup trigger mode. Is this true that this mode is supported from Virtex-6 and Spartan-6 and later FPGAs or I'm doing something wrong? Maybe later ISE Design Suite can help me?

In command line I have info:

opening design database (*.ngd file)

opened (ngd)

error creating .....\file.ctj

and error: virtex5 is an unsupported architecture. Only Virtex6, Spartan6, and later FPGA devices are supported by this tool

When I'm creating ctj file by Trigger Setup -> Save Trigger Setup all is ok

this error occurs only when I use Trigger Setup -> Save Startup Trigger Files

Maybe my ngd file is broken? Whole project passed synthesis, implementation and programming file generation.

Hi,

This feature is only supported in Virtex-6, Spartan-6 and the newer products in the 7 Series families.

Since you are using virtex 5 tool is throwing error.

Thanks
