Should iMPACT 11 run on Win7 with ISE14.6 USB driv...

We are trying to use iMPACT 11 (which supports direct SPI) on a Win7 machine. We installed latest and greatest USB Platform Cable Windows drivers from the 14.6 toolset.

So far, iMPACT does not see or connect to the USB Platform Cable.

Is this combination known to work (and we're doing something wrong)?

Is this combination known to NOT work (and we're flailing about in vain)?

Hi,

ISE 11 tools are supported only on Windows XP and Vista. Windows 7 is not one of the supported OS. This could be the reason why you don't see the USB cable in iMPACT.

Can you please verify if the cable gets detected on the latest version of impact or not?

iMPACT 14 sees the platform cable. I suspect ISE11 has a lockout in the SW if it works running on Vista but not running on Win7.
