Using Chipscope Pro 10 with XtremeDSP Kit 4 ...

Hi,

I wanted to know if I can use Chipscope Pro 10 with Xilinx XtremeDSP Kit 4, which is a PCI interface based FPGA kit. I know Chipscope Pro is a JTAG device based tool, but is it possible to use it for debugging using PCI interface or will I need to connect the JTAG cable to my PCI card if I want to use Chipscope?

Basically, if I want to use Chipscope Pro 10 with an XtremeDSP PCI interface card, will it work or no? Has anyone tried it before ... ?

Please do let me know ...

Thanks,

Z.

PS - I say Chipscorpe Pro 10 as I am using ISE 10.1

Thie ChipScope tool only works over JTAG. It will not work over PCI. You will need to connect the jtag cable to your board in order to use ChipScope

Re: Using Chipscope Pro 10 with XtremeDSP Kit 4 ...

Thanks for your reply. I just want to confirm that if my FPGA is running via PCI (for the XtremeDSP kit) and I also connect the JTAG to it for chipscope, will it work? Is it ok to use the board like that? Or will it cause some sort of conflict if the FPGA is connected to the PCI and the JTAG?

Please do let me know ...

Thanks,

Z.
