Address editor in Vivado

Hi,

I am facing a strange problem.

I try to use Emacs as custom editor from vivado.

I'm using Vivado 2017.1 and Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

When I go to select custom editor, I use the command line "/usr/bin/emacs [file name]".

No klicking a file emacs starts and tells me following:

Error running timer ‘vhdl-auto-load-project’: (file-error "Opening directory" "Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden" "/opt/Xilinx/Vivado/2017.1/bin/Technology/Thesis/FPGA_Project/EncodingX")

this is a path that is set together by my Xilinx Execution Folder an a part of my folder I want to point on.

Execution folder is: "/opt/Xilinx/Vivado/2017.1/bin"

My folder is: "My Technology/Thesis/FPGA_Project/EncodingX"

Please pay attention that there is a space between "My" and "Technology". And the word "My" doesn't appear in the generated path.

Can it be that vivado messes up the path, because there are spaces in the path?

Is there any other hint you can give me?

Thanks Jan

Re: Address editor in Vivado

Hi Jan,

You're right, the space in the folder path will cause a problem. Try changing this if you can.
