Cannot group accesses

Jump to solution

Hello, I am getting the following error:

"@E [XFORM-801] Cannot group accesses on AXI-Stream Ports: Partial Write on a group of ports...

In the section of code I am just writing to the data part of the Stream Struct, and either asserting, or not asserting the "last" field. COuld someone explain this error?

Thanks.

Thanks for the tip Balkrishan.

It turns out that when you define an AXIS structure, the elements in the structure cannot be written alone. This makes sense from an RTL perspective, since the bus needs to write all of the side channels when it writes data to the bus. The solution is to output something, even if you wont use it later, on every one of the side channel elements (last, user,id, etc.) every time that you write to the "data" field of the struct.
