No XCI file when packaging IP?

Hi all,

I'm trying to use the read_ip command on a TCL shell in non project mode. The IP im trying to read is something I've packaged beforehand, however, the IP packager for that IP doesn't generate any XCI file even though I have that option checked.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: No XCI file when packaging IP?

Hi @bandit,

XCI file for user IP gets created when you add the user repository in the project. For tcl command you can take the reference of the tcl commands generated in tcl console while performing the same operation in GUI.

Re: No XCI file when packaging IP?

after adding the user repository (refer to UG912 ip_repo_path property), you need to run create_ip command to  create an XCI for a configurable IP core from the IP catalog.

Re: No XCI file when packaging IP?

Thank you. create_ip does the job. Is it possible to do the same from GUI without script?

Thank you.
