Tcl command to set CONFIG_MODE

Jump to solution

Hi,

I have a PL bitstream for Zynq MPSoC programmed through JTAG and working. Now I want to configure the FPGA through FLASH. I have two 512Mb micron Flash on board. I have instantiated Zynq (only for programming) and generated bitstream. However I am unable to change the SPI bitwidth through tcl commands.

I have opened the impl design and tried following command

set_property CONFIG_MODE SPIx4 [current_design]
ERROR: [Netlist 29-154] Cannot set property 'CONFIG_MODE' because incorrect value 'SPIx4' specified. Expecting type 'enum' with possible values of 'B_SCAN'.

current_design
impl_1

set_property BITSTREAM.Config.SPI_buswidth 4 [current_design]
ERROR: [Netlist 29-69] Cannot set property 'BITSTREAM.Config.SPI_buswidth', because the property does not exist for objects of type 'design'.
Resolution: Modify .xdc or RTL to not set this property or move it to one of the following object types that can accept this property: bd_intf_port,bd_intf_net,diagram,bd_port,bd_intf_tlm_port,bd_tlm_port,bd_net

Can someone let me know if I am missing anything here.

Thanks,

Yogitha

Hi @ryogitha,

BITSTREAM.Config.SPI_buswidth doesn't exist for MPSoc(refer to table A-5, ug908). And PL bitstream should be loaded from PCAP by FSBL.

Thanks
Simon
