Windows7 any command to check if a label is existing? (to use with subst)

Jump to solution

Need to use subst to reduce path length, though it will be handy if there is a way to check the label before assignment.

subst itself returns "Drive already SUBSTed", if tcl can capture and process this is good too.

Unfortunately didn't find anything yet in google.

Thanks,

Hey @legendbb

TCL has the exec command which allows you to execute a command on the underlying OS.

The output can be captured into a variable and then processed inside TCL.

(I don't do Windows, so here is a Linux example instead):

set result [exec df]
puts $result

Hope this helps,

Herbert
