BCU1525 - BLOCKCHAIN EDITION (WITH MODS & RAM)

Hello! My name Oleksandr. Many site sell

Xilinx FPGA BCU1525 - BLOCKCHAIN EDITION (WITH MODS & RAM)

But at official site xilinx I find only Xilinx Virtex UltraScale+ FPGA VCU1525 .

What differents VCU1525 Vs BCU1525 ???

Re: BCU1525 - BLOCKCHAIN EDITION (WITH MODS & RAM)

Hello promlinear@gmail.com,

Please note that Xilinx don't sell BCU1525 boards, so we can't provide any information on this.

However what we do have/sell is https://www.xilinx.com/products/boards-and-kits/vcu1525-a.html#overview (both Passive and Active Cooled Versions of the boards):

Passive: https://www.xilinx.com/products/boards-and-kits/vcu1525-p.html

Active: https://www.xilinx.com/products/boards-and-kits/vcu1525-a.html

The description of these are in the links above.

For non-Xilinx related boards, such as  BCU1525 boards, that are developed by other providers, we (Xilinx) can't provide any information on these, and if needed, please contact these providers directly, requesting the info you are looking for in relation to BCU1525. You can then see the differences between our (Xilinx) vcu1525 and this BCU1525 (Non-Xilinx board).

Hope the above is clear.

Kind Regards,
Anatoli Curran,

Re: BCU1525 - BLOCKCHAIN EDITION (WITH MODS & RAM)

As stated above, the BCU1525 is NOT a board that is sold or supported by Xilinx.  It appears to be a VCU1525 that was purchased from Xilinx and then modified in some way before being rebranded and offered for sale by an independent company.  For information on the BCU1525 vs. the VCU1525, you will have to contact the company that made the modifications.

HOW DO YOU EXPECT US TO KNOW???

As has been said above, the BCU1525 is not a Xilinx board, although it uses a Xilinx chip. How is anyone here meant to know whether the seller will just take your money and run? It's like me finding an eBay ad for a Core i7 PC and demanding Intel tell me whether it's a scam or not. How are they meant to know?

Go to one of the mining forums that use these and ask them who is a reputable supplier.

@homicro The sales offices are listed here:

https://www.xilinx.com/about/contact/sales-offices.html

There's one in Canada, and a phone number for them.

You should also investigate the Xilinx University Program:

Hi @u4223374

Thank you very much for your input. In fact, I tried to contact NA contacts without an answer. The XUP does not seem to have these accelerator card where supported cards are quite simple in complexity for signal research these days...
