Can we use a transceiver clock to drive PL logic?

Jump to solution

Hi all,

I want to use the only clock that comes in the FPGA on a test board I have.

(The FPGA is a zynq ultrascale+, and the clock comes in the clk0 of quad228 (GTH transceivers).)

I tried various things like IBUFDS_GTHE4 driving other clock logic but nothing seems to work!

So, is there a way to take the GT clock and drive it to a circuit of my own in the PL portion of the FPGA?

Thanks a lot,

Angelo

Please use bufg_gt at the output of ibufds_gte4 to bring the GT reference clock to fabric. Check ug576 for details about ibufds_gte4
