After about a month of searching, the NXP PF0100 PMIC seems to be the best power solution for the Zynq 7 Series SoCs because it implements a customizable platform which can generate the required power in the required sequence for the Zynq SoCs in a simple design package with fewer parts and higher cost effectiveness than the typical Zyqn power solutions. This PMIC also comes with an app note describing its solution with the Zynq-7020 SoC (attached) which makes it even more compelling.
My concern is that Xilinx does not seem to back this NXP PMIC. Is there a specific reason that Xilinx does not back this part or has Xilinx simply not reviewed this part yet?
Thank you,
John

j,
There are only so many engineers here, so, no, we do not showcase power solutions from all vendors.
That said, looks like this Freescale PMIC is an excellent fit for Zynq. This is not the only one, there are others as well.
Every silicon generation, we ask our power partners to supply their best solution to our demo boards. One company 'wins' the honor, but that does not limit anyone from using their own favorite supplier (observing our recommended operating conditions). Obviously we have created a significant market for our Zynq family, so I am excited to see more solutions for powering them.
