Petalinux 2013.4 with vivado 2015.4 issue

Jump to solution
Hello,

Can i use petalinux 2013.4 with vivado 2015.4?? or only petalinux 2015.4 compatiable with vivado 2015.4?

I am using petalinux 2013.4 with vivado 2015.4 and created project using

petalinux-create --type project --template zynq --name test.

but when i import custom hardware to it using
~/test$ petalinux-config --get-hw-description=/.../project_1.sdk/base_zynq_design_wrapper_hw_platform_0/

but it shows following error

ERROR: Unable to local XML file /home/abbas/vivado/project_1/project_1.sdk/base_zynq_design_wrapper_hw_platform_0/../hw_platform/system.xml
ERROR: Failed to sync up hardware description!

I have searched for XML file but could not find it anywhere.

Can anybody tell me where system.xml file can be found in vivado 2015.4?? or how i can solve this problem?

Regards

I got the solution. Actually if when i use
petalinux-config --get-hw-description

with petalinux 2013 then it looks for system.xml for hardware description which was generated by old version of Vivado.

New version generates system.hdf to describe hardware. So now i install petalinux 2015.2 and its working fine because when i use

petalinux-config --get-hw-description

then it looks for system.hdf file which is generated by vivado 2015.4.

can you test your petalinux flow with xilinx reference design.
