XC9572XL-7VQ64I

I am conducting a fungus analysis and could use some help defining this component. Can you provide me with the following information?

Fungus resistance data
Materials list and/or MSDS

The former is preferred – if available – but the latter would suffice to individually review each constituent material against known fungus inert and fungus nutrient materials.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Re: XC9572XL-7VQ64I

c,

OK, I have googled "fungus resistant packaging" and the various variants, and I see why you are asking for information.

This is generally something I never hear about, as the packaging we use is either fr4 pcb material substrates, plastic injection molded, or the few miltary ceramic packages.

Anything with fr4 printed circuit board technology substrates will hagve epoxies, fiberglass, and perhaps some voids, meaning there won't be much there to much on, but it might provide a scaffold to live in/on.

I know military systems use various sealing materials to prevent moisture intrusion, and protect the circuit boards from the environment.

I suggest that if fungus growth happens in your environment, you should probably do what military systems developers do:  conformal coat all of the circuit boards in your system to protect them.  It isn't the Xilinx CPLD (your part) that is likely to be the problem:  it is everything in your system, in addition.
