Sparkfun is holding its 8th annual Autonomous Vehicle Competition (AVC) in Niwot, Colorado on Saturday, September 17 and Xilinx has a table at the Maker Tent that day where we will be handing out fifty USB drives loaded with the Xilinx SDSoC Development Environment 2016.2 and the Vivado HL Design Suite including the Vivado HLS synthesis tool and the SDK software development kit. In addition to the memory stick, the fifty lucky recipients will get a voucher to activate the node-locked version of SDSoC, which provides a familiar embedded application development experience based on the Eclipse IDE and supports designs written in C or C++ for the Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC and the Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC (!). Normally, these SDSoC licenses sell for $995, so this is a real opportunity.

Note: Limit one USB drive and license to a customer, strictly enforced with a hand stamp.

Digilent has contributed five Zybo Trainer Boards based on the Xilinx Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC for the AVC event. These boards retail for $189 on the Digilent site and they serve as a perfect target platform for the Xilinx SDSoC Development Environment. Now we can’t give these away to the first five people who ask because they’d be gone in sixty seconds. So you’ll need to fill out your contact info and put it in a bowl for a drawing to occur later that day at AVC.
