If you’re interested in a shortcut to software-defined radio design, you can get up close and personal with the new Avnet Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC / AD9361 Software-Defined Radio Systems Development Kit at MILCOM later this month. The kit includes an Analog Devices AD-FMCOMMS2-EBZ FMC module featuring the AD9361 integrated RF Agile Transceiver and a Zynq ZC706 evaluation kit. Together, the Zynq SoC and the AD9361 transceiver create a neat, 2-chip SDR solution, which you can see in the Analog Devices booth. MILCOM’13—sponsored by BAE Systems, AFCEA International (the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association), Mitre, and the IEEE Communications Society—is being held in San Diego, California on November 18-20.
