Here’s a short video shot during the recent Embedded Vision Summit in Boston showing a low-cost, Zynq-based Avnet MicroZed development board running an out-of-the-box, OpenCV Canny edge-detection demo in real time on a live video stream supplied by a standard USB Web camera.

If you’d like to see a longer version of this video demo presented by Mario Bergeron, Technical Marketing Engineer at Avnet Electronics, and a second demo of a full image-processing pipeline running on the Avnet ZedBoard, click here. These video clips are great demonstrations of what Xilinx calls “Smarter Vision” in action.

Thanks to Brian Dipert at the Embedded Vision Alliance for shooting and posting this video clip for Xcell Daily.
