Enclustra’s 74x54mm Mercury+ XU1 SOM is only a bit larger than its on-board Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC

Spotted today at ESC 2016 in San Jose: Enclustra’s tiny Mercury+ XU1 SoC module packs a Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC, as much as 8Gbytes of DDR4 SDRAM, 64Mbytes of QSPI Flash memory, 8Gbytes of eMMC Flash memory, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB 3.0 ports, and hundreds of user I/O ports—and all on a miniscule 74x54mm board. That’s not a lot bigger than the Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC itself and you get a ton of processing power in that small board (a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor, a dual-core ARM Cortex-R5, and a big chunk of Xilinx UltraScale+ FPGA fabric).
