If you live in Silicon Valley and have a middle-school student interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) then you might want to look into the Winter STEM Academy, which will be taking place on February 17-19 at the Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) MetroED Campus in San Jose. Xilinx is partnering with SVCTE to create an intensive 3-day, 4-hour/day immersion into the worlds of electronics, programming, and engineering. Hands-on activities will focus on STEM, Robotics, Coding (Engineering). SVCTE’s instructor(s) will be co-teaching with Xilinx Corporation employees. For more information, call Jodi Edwards-Wright, Director of Instruction and Accountability at 408-723-6704.
