More power solutions for your Virtex UltraScale and Kintex UltraScale designs from Infineon/IR and Avnet

Avnet handles Xilinx All Programmable devices and power products from IR, now an Infineon Technologies company. So it makes perfect sense that Avnet would be demonstrating an UltraScale eval board, specifically a Kintex UltraScale board, running on power supplied by IR/Infineon's PMBus SupIRBucks integrated POL (point of load) converters. Here’s a one-minute video demo of the SupIRBucks POL converters in action, delivering clean power while the Kintex UltraScale FPGA runs a 12Gbps SerDes exercise with zero bit errors:






Notice the big, clean transceiver eye. That’s what you need with high-speed SerDes operation and that’s what you get with UltraScale SerDes ports.
